Isn't it ironic - or perhaps "it isn't ironic" - that one of the greatest obstacles to achieving equal rights is the kind of people who campaign for them? You'll never hear someone with a professional demeanor or, for that matter, merit whatsoever, complaining about how the "system" is holding them back ... ... because they're too busy in their careers. For example, the average homosexual has no problem finding a place in society. It's the flame-lord who goes dressed in boxing gloves and a tutu to a job interview at which he'll make his rectum the topic of conversation who will on the pavement five minutes later with a placard and a sob story about how the evil corporate vampires are in league against him becoming an investment banker. Well, there's always Greenpeace. Bob, here, could probably make a pretty decent life for himself - if only he'd deign to wear a necktie and told the interviewer to call him "Bob" and not "Bobby", which he'd have to spell with a "y" instead of an "i" dotted with a little heart. ... and if he worked on smiling with his mouth closed. | |||
