Check out Punk-E-Krakka styling the hat he wore on the afternoon he got the snot beat out of him for demonstrating his political correctness at the bus stop. He purposefully forgot how to conjugate "be" and tried out all that fresh new street talk he heard on Moesha ... "Whazzup homo boy? Do you go down?" Two minutes later, while picking up his teeth, he wondered if he flashed the wrong gang symbol - and if his elbow used to bend at quite that angle. Maybe his hat was on too far, or purple was the color of the day? With any luck, perhaps he'll assume that he'd been so impressive that he got jumped in right away. Maybe when the casts come off, he can try it again. ... one can only hope. Three decades after integration, there are still some lines that are better not crossed from either direction, and ignorance is no excuse for breaking the unwritten laws of social custom. In hard-knock school, every laceration is a lesson - and in this case, it's that there's a vast difference between mutual acceptance and patronization. I do hope Punk-E learns that some day - after three, maybe four more beatings. | |||
