Have you ever wondered what white trash do for amusement? I never have - until I saw this picture. What is it that could have Geech, Susabelle, and Uncle Jabba so utterly amused? The lighting is far too bright for it to be late enough for America's Funniest Home Videos of Ally McBeal to be on television, and I find it unlikely that any of these three slices of Americana might have quoted Kierkegaard. So then, what is it?

It's not like I'm completely out of touch with people on their stratum - many of the products I use are made from parts that include chemicals concocted in the plant in their neighborhood - and I've even had brief conversations with them, albeit limited to phrases like "plastic please", "could you check the disposal while you're down there," and "yes, I would like fries with that." So I suppose you could say that I'm as close to them as anyone.

And yet, I can't conceive of the intensely intellectual pursuits that must fill their leisure hours, though I imagine they include endless games of "guess what I had for breakfast", "scare the cat", and "truck or a motorboat?" I wonder if it would be déclasée to ask - but of course, when in Rome ...
