I will be attending the wonderful midwestern gaming convention known as GenCon in early August ...

We've often considered picking up a digital camera and dropping by a Star Trek convention or, hell, just going to the mall. GenCon, though, is in another league altogether. First of all, it's held in Wisconsin, which is near the top of the list of states with a large percentage of decidedly un-toothsome residents. Second, it's a "fantasy and science fiction" convention, attended by folks who take their pastimes way to seriously.

No, but I consider it as one of the things I simply must experience before I die. I won't go into the other ones - it gets tawdry real fast. Number three involves a Chinese woman and a box of jelly donuts. 'Nuff said.
